Hi, I’m Sam Rorison! I’m a creative communicator who loves bringing stories to life through photography, videography, graphic design, and social media. I’ve always been especially drawn to nonprofit work and the opportunity to use my creativity to support organizations making a difference in the lives of others. Outside of work, you can usually find me traveling, trying a new coffee shop, going to a concert, or spending time with the people I love. I believe some of the best stories come from the people we meet and the experiences we share, and I love finding creative ways to capture those moments and make them meaningful. Ultimately, I hope to build a career that combines my love for creativity with my passion for serving others and supporting causes that matter.
My Story
My story has always been rooted in creativity and a heart for serving others. I dabbled in photography in elementary school, and growing up, I explored creativity through band, orchestra, choir, and musical theatre. Over time, my interests shifted to painting and other creative outlets, but music has always remained a part of my life. Toward the end of high school, I discovered creative marketing and began to see how I could turn my love for creating into a career, specifically one that supports nonprofits and the communities they serve.
I went on to study visual communications with a minor in business administration, where I continued to grow my creative skills and pursue my passion for giving back. Through volunteering with Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services, Dance Marathon, and philanthropic events with Phi Mu, I was reminded of how meaningful it is to serve others. My faith is a meaningful part of why I feel called to serve others. I recognize how much God has blessed me, and I want to use the gifts He has given me to make a difference in the lives of others. I feel most fulfilled when I can do something, big or small, that makes someone smile.
Today, I’m grateful to have found a path that brings together two things I’ve always cared about: creativity and service. I want to help nonprofits share their stories in ways that connect with people, inspire action, and expand their impact. One day, I hope to start a nonprofit of my own. Until then, I’m excited to keep learning, creating, and finding new ways to use my talents to serve others.
