Hearts For Heroes
This project is a concept for a self created non-profit for veterans in the Columbia, South Carolina area. Using my design skills to create a full branding kit with deliverables to show a speciality in non-profit marketing.
My main goal with this project was to create all marketing elements for a non-profit I “invented”. While the non-profit is not currently real and running, I wanted to showcase my ability to produce any form of design content needed for the non-profit world.
I started the brainstorming process of this company by developing real SEO strategies, content calendars, mission statements, and quantifiable marketing goals. I wanted this non-profit to become as realistic as possible. I chose the color pallet to nod towards patriotic colors without being the expected red, white, and blue basics. Using the main color as a dark green is warm and inviting which is an important part of a nonprofit’s brand. After creating a logo, I went on to showcase how the brand would work on social media platforms, web designs, and printable elements.

The Process
For this project, I focused on developing the business analytics and strategies before I started creating the physical work. I wanted to showcase my ability to combine my marketing experience with my creative talents. I developed an SEO strategy, content calendar, and measurable goals to base my decision making off of. I then created the design pieces to achieve the goals and ideas I set out in the beginning.
